About
Bluegrass, folk & acoustic roots from the Pacific Northwest
In February 2009, five young northwest musicians got together and started playing. Something clicked.
Fueled by a mutual passion for good music, they came together to start The Bluegrass Regulators. Drawing from a variety of influences such as The Lonesome River Band, Vince Gill, John Mayer, Hot Rize, and Buddy Miller, they crafted a unique blend of contemporary bluegrass, complete with tight harmonies, creative arrangements, and signature band originals.
Following a 10 year hiatus (life happens!), the band reformed in 2025 as Westbound Sky - a nod to Jake and Molly's return to the northwest and a broadening of musical horizons.
